Wesley Snipes

as Damon Moore

Both an actor and producer, Wesley Snipes has a diverse resume of projects under his belt. Not only has he been in movies like Major League (1989), Mo’ Better Blues (1990), Jungle Fever (1991), and the Blade franchise, but Snipes actually caught many eyes through his part as Michael Jackson’s adversary in the music video for “Bad,” directed by Martin Scorsese and released in 1987. More recently, Snipes appeared in the movies The Expendables 3 (2014) and Dolemite Is My Name (2019). Snipes is also a well-decorated martial artist, having earned his 5th dan black belt in Shotokan Karate and 2nd dan black belt in Hapkido. Playing Damon Moore in Paper Empire, Snipes portrays a Wall Street executive whose hands are far from clean.

A long-time friend of William Noir, Damon Moore is a nostalgic yet unpredictable character, Referring to himself as the “disruptor” Moore defies all past and preconceived notions by working and making it big on Wall Street. Moore is the type of character who maintains and is defined and ruled by his connections, withholding a je ne sais quoi that makes his interactions appear special to both the recipient and the audience. A man of wealth and status, Moore never forgets his roots and remains loyal to those with whom he shares a common history. While he isn’t afraid to flaunt his money, Moore clearly still finds value in reflecting upon his sordid past.
